For Professionals

Clinical orientation

I work with the body and the imagination as a single field. The clinical stance is following rather than directing — trusting the adaptive information processing model in its strong sense, where the work of integration is something the person's own system performs when conditions are right rather than something the therapist produces. Resourcing and processing are treated as imaginative work that the nervous system receives as real. Stabilization comes before intensity. Pacing is steady. The container is held carefully so the work can be deep without becoming overwhelming.

For clinicians familiar with depth psychology, I draw on Jungian active imagination, the feeling function, and the concept of the organizing principle as it shows up across traditions. For clinicians coming from a more straightforwardly evidence-based frame, the practice is recognizable as protocol-faithful EMDR with sustained attention to nervous-system safety, somatic tracking, and meaningful integration.

If a particular case is hard to place — high-performing, complex, articulate, plateaued in standard talk therapy — I'm often a good clinical match.

Credentials

I'm a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California, Georgia, and Florida, working telehealth-only across all three states. My graduate training is from Pacifica Graduate Institute, where the orientation was depth-psychological. I'm an EMDRIA Certified Therapist and an EMDRIA Approved Consultant-in-Training. I work in English and Hebrew (native).

Best-fit referrals

The clients who tend to do well in this work are those whose careful self-understanding has outpaced their capacity to change — people who arrive ready to do trauma processing but stuck at the level where insight has been operating, where the body and the imagination need to come into contact in a way standard talk therapy hasn't enabled.

This includes adults whose lives are functional until they suddenly aren't (burnout, anxiety, shutdown, grief, relational rupture, a crisis point rooted in older unprocessed material), highly cerebral or guarded clients who need a grounded bridge into felt emotional work without shame or pressure, and neurodivergent adults who benefit from adapted pacing, structure, and communication style.

If you're unsure about fit, you're welcome to refer anyway. I'll respond directly with clarity.

What I offer

Depth EMDR is EMDR integrated within a depth-oriented, trauma-informed approach. When clinically appropriate, the work includes careful attention to nervous-system safety and capacity, grounding and resourcing, and reflective or imaginal meaning-making (Jungian-informed when useful). The pace is steady; stabilization precedes intensity.

Weekend intensives are also available for clients who want concentrated momentum, with preparation and integration sessions built in.

With appropriate releases, I'm glad to coordinate care and support continuity with your treatment plan.

Consultation for Clinicians

For clinicians who want to deepen their EMDR practice — whether working toward Certification, developing a more imaginal or somatic orientation, or looking for a consultation space that takes the inner life seriously — I offer Depth EMDR consultation in both individual and small-group formats.

A depth orientation to EMDR isn't something to be layered on after years of protocol mastery. It can be the starting orientation. Newer clinicians are explicitly welcome.

I am an EMDRIA Approved Consultant-in-Training; consultation hours qualify toward EMDR Certification.
